Elitists Just Don't Get it

Obama has said that he wants everyone to go to college.
I cannot disagree more. Some people just aren't college material.
That doesn't make them less intelligent. I have always said that.
I lived in an era where many of my High School friends did not
go to college. College was for the kids that got scholarships.
College was for the intellectuals and not everyone is an intellectual.

Some people are better off fixing things, manufacturing things
managing people. America needs mechanics, we need seamstresses,
we need people who can repair things. Many of us have parents
who never went to college and they still succeeded in acquiring the "American
Dream". Obama wants to take those chances away from us.

I was never blessed with children and quite frankly,
maybe that was best for me. I cannot see spending a hundred grand
to send my kid to a school where they teach biased politics and ideology.

There is also the flip side.
Let's face it, college is just a big party to some kids. They go, squeak by
and get indoctrinated by liberal professors

I think Santorum says it better than I can.

I Can See November From My House

Here we are at last; after three, long years, we're finally in the midst of choosing our 2012 nominee. Many of us have been counting the months, weeks and days until we could vote Barack Obama out of the White House.

One problem though; it's our candidates. During these tumultuous times, you would think the GOP would have offered us some truly charismatic candidates.  Well, some have had their moments, but I had hoped for a lot more. This is Barack Obama, after all. This is the "anointed one", the mortal who promised to "slow the oceans" and "heal the planet". And the most promising the GOP could offer us was Mitt Romney?  After five years of campaigning, you'd think if he was such a winner, he would do better than about 33% in the primaries. Romney is consistent though - 28 - 38% of eligible voters like him.

Seems like every time a candidate comes close to pushing Mitt Romney out of his front runner position, that candidate gets mutilated in the press. Those Democrats don't know when to quit! Problem is, it wasn't the Democrats. Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich have both been publicly humiliated for past, alleged indiscretions. Herman Cain bowed out gracefully, but Gingrich continues to hang on.

In my humble opinion, the GOP establishment has already decided on the nominee for the people --
Mitt Romney. Unfortunately, Romney isn't Conservative enough for much of the Republican base. He has flip-flopped on a lot of important issues. Oh and there is that pesky, Healthcare Law he passed in Massachusetts when he was governor. Many voters wonder how Romney is going to attack Obama on his Healthcare Law when it was copied from Romney's version. That could be a problem, yet the GOP establishment keeps telling the masses -- Romney is the man who can beat Obama. Not everyone is convinced.

The term "unelectable" has been used a lot lately. It's funny that one "unelectable" candidate, Rick Santorum is giving golden boy, Mitt Romney a run for his money. And money is something Romney has a lot of, both personally and in his campaign fund. In addition to the GOP establishment bashing the "Unelectables", Romney has an enormous amount of cash in his campaign fund. Every time a different candidate surges in the polls, Romney's supporters attack with a barrage of negative, super PAC ads. Gingrich actually won a primary in South Carolina with Romney placing in the the number two spot. Recently, Gingrich has been showing in dead last according to most polls.

I find it troublesome that the guy with the most money determines the nominee. If money is the deciding factor when it comes to the president-elect, Republicans are screwed. Obama has raised approximately one billion in campaign funds. Just imagine the ads we'll see coming from Obama's camp. Besides the half-truths, fuzzy math and blatant lies we've gotten accustomed to, we can also expect the usual attacks from the left. We have already seen a great deal of attacks on the right--from the right!

Republican candidates have spent more time smearing each other rather than enlightening Americans about the true commander-in-chief. We don't need to make things easier for the Democrats. More importantly, we are saturated with a biased media that spews positive, Obama propaganda. In this day and age, if you don't have a computer or Fox news, you have no idea what is going on.

As I wrote earlier, it's been interesting. As for myself, I have chosen a couple of surging Republicans who fell victim of the GOP's public lynching and Romney's attack-PAC. Since then, I have decided to keep my preferences to myself. It is crucial we win this election, more than ever before. I've decided to keep my mouth shut and my keyboard idle when it comes to my feelings about Romney.

We need to pull together in order to win the 2012, Presidential election. Most of us know that four more years of Barack Obama will leave this country unrecognizable. To the surprise of many, George Soros did an interview where he consoled liberals concerned about Obama losing to Romney.  Soros, the very liberal "entrepreneur" and self-proclaimed "god" said that if Romney were elected, there wasn't much to fear. He wouldn't be much different than Obama. (Yikes!)

Yes, it certainly has been interesting.
